Formed in 1923 and situated in the West Sussex village of Hurstpierpoint, some 10 miles north of Brighton, the Club can claim to play on one of the most attractive Greens in the County.

 

The Club is open for bowling every day from late April until mid September.  Regular "roll-ups", open to all members whether they are looking to practice or just have a friendly bowl with other members, are run on Monday afternoons and Friday evenings. Mens', Ladies and Mixed "Friendly" matches with other Clubs take place throughout the season, and the Club also enters Teams for several Leagues and Knock out Cups.  In recent years the Club has seen a lot of success in these competitions, including winning the Mid Sussex League for the ninth time in 2016.

 

And if all this isn't enough, the Club also runs "in house" Competitions, culminating in Finals Day which takes place in late August every year!

The Green is maintained entirely by the Members, and the Club is justifiably proud of its condition which regularly draws favourable comments from visiting Clubs.

 

Hurstpierpoint Bowling Club has something for everyone, ranging from those members keen to compete in competitions, to others who just enjoy an occasional Roll-up with friends, and Social members who don't bowl, but are just happy to come and watch, and join in with the Social events that the Club runs throughout the whole year.

The Green is also open to non members, subject to payment of the appropriate Green Fee, although please contact us first to arrange access.
