Bowls Festival

The Hurst Bowls & Beer Festival

The purpose of the Festival is to introduce more people to bowls in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The bowls competition is for teams of three novice bowlers, for example, teams from other sports backgrounds, family teams and groups of friends, playing against each other.

Teams can be same sex or mixed. More than three people can be registered for a team but the same three team members must play a match. Each team will play two matches lasting about an hour. Experienced club members will be on the green to give help/guidance to teams, if they need it, and to umpire the matches.

The Festival took place for the first time in 2017 but like many other sporting events was cancelled in 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The 2022 Festival took place on Sunday 25th September and the winners were 'One for the Ditch' with a shot difference of +14 over the day.
